The Victorian Fishing Authorities have today announced that the price of a Victorian Fishing Licence Fees for recreational anglers will not go up between the 2020 and 2021 financial year. They have instead chosen to freeze fees to reduce the financial pressures for individuals and families during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Victorian fishing licence fee summary
The current fees for Victorian Fishing Licence Fees are as follows and will remain for the next 12 months
• 3-day licence for $10
• 28-day licence for $21.20
• 1-year licence for $37.20 ($34.95 if purchased online)
• 3-year licence for $100.70 ($95.40 if purchased online).
You do not require a fishing license if you are under 18 years of age, or 70 years of age or over. Or if you hold a Victorian Seniors Card or Pensioner Card.

You can buy these through select tackle stores around the state or You can purchase a fishing licence online by visiting the VFA website
Where does the money collected from fishing licence fees go?
The 8.5 million dollars collected through Victorian Fishing Licence Fees collected over the last financial year, go directly towards improved fish stocking programs, improved access and facilities, fisheries research, and additional fisheries officers. Plus, we will be expecting $35 million dollars released by the state government going towards the continued 1 million by 2020 and 10 million by 2022 initiatives for fishing in Victoria.
